About Daffyd

Daffyd Roderick is the Founding Partner of Pathfinder Strategic Communications and is based in Toronto. Daffyd has been telling compelling stories for almost three decades; first as an award-winning journalist in Vancouver, Alberta, Hong Kong and Toronto and, since 2003 as a communicator with organizations that have been often at the centre of public attention.

As a journalist, he worked for wire services, newspapers and magazines, finishing his journalism career with five years at Time magazine as a staff writer based in Hong Kong and then Toronto, writing on travel, technology, business and breaking news. Leading communications at organizations such as Hydro One and Ontario Cannabis Store over the last two decades, Daffyd has a deep understanding of the public realm and the intersection of commerce and government.

Daffyd's expertise includes all facets of corporate communications, media relations, and reputation and crisis management. He has advised multiple CEOs and executives navigating business transitions, public crises and restoring trust with key stakeholders. His accountabilities have included: strategic engagement, ESG, public consultation and all aspects of communications. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts and post-graduate certificate from Langara College school of journalism.
